As the owner of an office complex, you will be required to do the upkeep and maintenance of the units. Your renters will set up their office suites on their own, but the overall care of the building is within your realm of handling. One of the services that you need to provide for your office complex is security. If you have a complex that has a lot of buildings and staff, efficiency needs to be the name of the game with security. Here are three services that your security team needs to provide.
1. Armed services
In order to protect people and property, it is a good idea to have an armed security service. Find security companies that offer security with trained armed guards. Be sure that the guards are all properly bonded and trained in the security detail. Allow the security company to come to your office complex in order to look at the layout then provide the security team with detailed information on where they will be stationed and where they are to do their rounds during the day and night.
2. Provide escorting services
If you have an office complex that is in the middle of a busy city, it is always important to stay vigilant at night. Have your security detail provide escort services from the building's office to the parking garage structure. If you have major companies and any chief officers from the company work inside of your office location, this will be especially important. Have a system for every office to call down to security to reach someone when they are ready to leave for the evening. Be sure that the entrances and exits are still being covered while a security guard is escorting personnel to their vehicles.
3. Have a security room
Even if you have a smaller complex, it is a good idea to have a designated security room. The room should have video screens that show all of the cameras that are situated on the property. Those who are not stationed at an entrance or currently on patrol should be inside of the security room. Provide the location of the security room to all businesses that operate in the complex so they can report to the room for immediate help from security personnel if necessary. The security room should also house any first-aid materials and emergency kits for the businesses to be dispersed if there is ever a need.
There are several security jobs to perform to keep an office park safe, so consider hiring a professional team to maintain protection and safety.
